Cleaning & Maintenance
We recommend cleaning the litter box at least once daily, scooping out clumps and waste. The frequency of complete litter replacement depends on the number of cats and the type of litter used, typically requiring thorough cleaning and litter replacement every 2-4 weeks.
Stainless steel is very easy to clean. You can wash it with warm water and pet-safe cleaning products, or use mild dish soap. The smooth stainless steel surface doesn't easily stain. After washing, simply dry with a cloth. Avoid using steel wool or other abrasive materials that could scratch the surface finish.
Daily cleaning is key. Stainless steel itself doesn't absorb odors, which is a significant advantage over plastic litter boxes. Additionally, choose litter with good odor control properties and maintain good ventilation around the litter box. Regular thorough washing with warm water ensures the stainless steel material retains virtually no residual odors after cleaning.
